The UNITY Festival is a celebration of diversity – a colourful fusion of the rich and diverse cultural influences in the Tweed and Byron Shires brought together to create a unique global event.
The Unity Festival is on Saturday the 2nd of October 2010 from 12 noon to 10 pm @ Murwillumbah Showgrounds.
This event promises to be an extremely green event and Climate Wave Enterprises (CWE) are proud to be the major environmental management business invloved. When the organisers approached CWE they already had an exceptional grasp on what was needed to green this event and with the communities support which has been gained during the lead up to Saturday it can only be a success.
Two key aspects of greening an event have been covered, volunteers monitoring bins and providing education to attendees and all market stall holders have come to the party with ‘green’ packaging.
The organisers have expressed interest in growing the greening of this event each year and are looking for sponsors to assist this process. We wish the Murwillumbah community all the very best and a happy and vibrant festival.
