The Condamine Alliance incorporating Treehenge is a welcome project to Australia’s most threatened food producing region which will preserve it for future generations.
I met with the General Manager, Andy Greening (yes obviously the best man for the job) where we discussed the need for like-minded organisations and business’s to support each other in the area of sustainable management.
“Condamine Alliance is an environmental charity. They are a natural resource management, not for profit organisation, with ten years’ experience in managing major environmental projects. Based in Toowoomba, Condamine Alliance has built an extremely successful model of working with partners to protect the Condamine catchment’s natural assets for future generations. They are the first regional body in Australia to become ISO accredited; giving strong assurance that working with Condamine Alliance will be a successful partnership.”
Climate Wave Enterprises was pleased to be invited as a partner with the Condamine Alliance and the Treehenge project to promote sustainable projects.
Andy & the Condamine Alliance are considering inviting events to the area and Climate Wave Enterprises will gladly guide them in their sustainable management. With 2.5 million hectares it makes the perfect arena for any event that requires a bit of elbow room while surrounded in a bush setting.
“Treehenge is Condamine Alliances exciting new flagship environmental project which takes up 247 hectares of this vast area and the logo 7 hectares will be able to be viewed from space. The first site at Gladfield, in Queensland’s Condamine Basin, one of the state’s major food baskets, was chosen for its heavy degradation and erosion from years of intensive land use. Its prime position at the headwaters of the Murray-Darling river system also means the good work they do will have a have a flow on effect to the other states.”
“This project is shifting the way Australians care for the land that sustains us: they’re tending the garden that feeds us. Anyone who dedicates a tree at Treehenge can take comfort knowing their donation will help rehabilitate and replenish an area of land vitally important to Australia.”
Climate Wave Enterprises is looking forward to sustaining many trees at Treehenge and working to promote the wonderful work the Condamine Alliance have started. In years to come I’m sure Treehenge’s will be developed all over Australia for everyone to enjoy and see the value of projects like this.
