Colour and movement in the form of photo’s & video’s attracts our attention more to a subject than just meaningful text alone these days, so I’m told by social media guru’s like Dan Rippon Web Marketing . So our Eco Challenge is more than green, it has been to create graphics, logo’s & artwork to keep you interested enough to keep reading. So you tell me have we been successful? Have we caught your eye? And importantly have we visually stimulated you enough to share with your friends and come to our first event?
Ok enough questions from me. I’ll imagine none of you have seen any of our illustrative material and present it here for you to feast on. The header image is a collaboration of design & logo from Eda Calabria a soon to be design graduate. The photo was taken by Peter Sturm of My Perspectives at the Byron Bay Surf Festival & the board was created from recycled skateboards by Björn Holm from Finland, REcycle for TOmorrow / RETO [retu]
This design is from Miriam Rieger BA Integrated Design at Köln International School of Design and will be used with some minor editing for the Climate Wave Eco Challenge carbon offset your surfboard sticker. The carbon offset your surfboard project arose through researching cradle to cradle studies of surfboards and the surfing industry. Surfboards made from petrochemicals can be reused, reimagined & reconstituted to a certain extent but very rarely are, the exception to rule in any quantity is Sustainable Surf’s project Waste to Waves
I’m sure we’d all like this beautiful piece of art above hanging on our wall. Although this particular board was not reconstituted your old board does not necessarily need to end up in landfill once the magic has left.
There will be more about the Climate Wave Eco Challenge carbon offset your surfboard project and how you can purchase the stickers under the accredited voluntary scheme. Like our facebook page for immediate updates.
These people must LOVE me and believe in my projects because they are always there when I need them. The LOVE & admiration is totally reciprocated 🙂 Click here and share the love with People/Businesses that care about the product they deliver.
That’s all for now 🙂 If you’d like to support this event in any way please contact us & hope to see you on the 16th of March 2014 at the Tomewin St Beach, Currumbin during Bleach Boulevarde.
