Gold Coast Beach Soccer Championships were an enormous success which saw 20 teams participate.
This was the inaugural event which has a bright future for years to come. This event ticked all the right boxes for a successful beginning, it was environmentally managed and it had teams of young people having fun at the beach.
The event organisers not only want to grow this burgeoning sport but also raise funds for the Asteros Association. All proceeds derived from the staging of the Gold Coast Beach Soccer Championships will go to the association. The Asteros Association is a not for profit incorporated body that with a sole purpose of financially supporting early intervention personal development programs for ‘At Risk’ youth on the Gold Coast.
During this event which we sponsored, CWE were able to protect the dunal system from any undue stress and supply educational material through BeachCare to participants and the public.
The event organisers were pleased with the outcome of environmental management and have invited us to be involved in next year’s event.
Yours for the Planet
