Our Easter break was filled to the brim with Australia's premier writing festival @somersetstoryfest ,followed immediately with Australia's premier music festival @bluesfestbyronbay.
I've not been super active on this platform lately, but that certainly doesn't mean we haven't been busy bees 🐝🐝🐝
We are still doing what we can to keep as much waste out of landfills and keep materials in circulation for as long as possible.

Hello internet friends. I wanted to introduce myself officially. I'm Cat and I'm a little obsessed with waste management ♻️ 👋
Luckily for me @silversurfergh decided to step away from full time work life, and he handed me the reigns of his creation @climatewave 💃🌱 one year ago.
I've had an interesting journey through my work life from travelling the globe on cruise ships as a massage therapist,
(I could tell you some of the most horrific stories on waste management during this time!) Hospitality around Australia and teaching in primary schools and early years. Sustainability and environmental education is a core interest of mine, and I get to stretch a bit doing this with @ggenviro, @qldeducation and @geckogoldcoast
Now, these seemingly unconnected roles have seamlessly blended together into my role here. I get to work with all kinds of good people who are working together to make this Earth a cleaner and safer place for today and future generations.
I'd love to connect with others who are on the global sustainability mission and collaborate on just how we can level up. Let's team up and show by example on just what actions we can do to leave this crazy place better than how we found it 😉🌱♻️✨️🌊

GUNFIRE COCKTAIL
Rum and milk was the beverage provided to soldiers at first light in preparation for battle.
It was customary to add a tipple of rum to their cup of breakfast milk to help the soldiers shake off some nerves, or as one veteran digger put it, “give 'em a touch of courage”.
@currumbinrsl serves the traditional bevvie on ANZAC day in a modern compostable cup and for this we applaud them 👏
It was a privilege to work alongside a venue who honours and supports service men and women, but also supports and protects the very environment they fought hard to defend.
