I’m excited, are you? Practise what we preach…do we?

Yes we do! Our office is run from solar panels on our roof and offset by 100% green power which are the major changes we’ve made for financial and evironmental benefits. They are simple things to do, you just need to get into the habit. Start small and one by one before you know it […]

How do you educate about recycling

While providing environmental management for an event recently we found it interesting that people don’t seem to know how to recycle waste using the correct receptacle. In a newspaper article it was stated that only 25 per cent of waste thrown in the yellow-lid recycling bin was actually recycle-friendly. How long have we been recycling […]

So, is it worth greening your event?

Well naturally I’d say yes, that’s my job! And when you look at the impact an event has on the environment, many companies are looking for green alternatives. When you consider the power usage and enormous waste generated by most events, with the right management it won’t leave such an impact.

Litres of light

It is incredible what people can do when they use their imagination. Take the example of this car mechanic in Sao Paulo, Brazil who out of necessity invented a way to illuminate his work shop and houses in his neighborhood. This video shows that there are lots of green efficient solutions that can be created […]

The Village Markets have worked with the team at CWE for the past couple of years now, implementing their zero waste management system to assist us with our goal of becoming a zero waste event - something we have been working towards in our business for some time. The team have shared their knowledge, resources and Sundays with us and in turn, we have managed to reduce our landfill diversion quite substantially. Looking forward to seeing what we're capable of in this year!
